The project

Industrial heritage and nature meet within a small narrative space. Ruhr landmarks, a river landscape and a meadow of colourful flowers tell a story of regional transformation and the relationship between place, people and gardens.

Design selected in 2026; issue announced for April 2027. Obverse: Virginia Colonnella. Reverse: Michael Otto.
